HVAC Upgrades

Egan implemented a major HVAC upgrade for one of our Service customers, FireKeepers Casino and Hotel, located in Battle Creek. The project’s goal was to significantly reduce energy use for the gaming floor and back-of-house, so our Design-Build department replaced the building’s gas-fired boilers, as well as water heaters and rooftop units, with more energy-efficient equipment. Our in-house VDC team conducted 3D laser scans of key areas to aid in piping coordination and fabrication, and our field crew added 15,000 feet of piping on the roof alone. The project also allows FireKeepers to switch to a gas-fired system during peak demand times, giving the facility managers more flexibility for energy savings. Egan's in-house HVAC controls team upgraded the facility's building controls at the same time, relying on Johnson Controls products as an Authorized Building Controls Specialist.
