Modular cellulose ethanol plant requiring 3D coordination, seismic design and industrial controls. The project included more than 1,100 instruments and 19 control panels, 9,000 linear feet of pipe and 31 tanks and vessels. Egan constructed the plant as 14 separate modules that were shipped to California on 19 flatbed trucks. Because of a modular design with a phased fabrication schedule, the plant was operational just three months after onsite construction began.
