Center for Transformation and Innovation

Egan was part of the Design-Assist team for the construction of the Corewell Health Center for Transformation and Innovation (CTI), the new headquarters for the healthcare system's office staff. The eight-floor facility is connected via walkway to the historic Brassworks Building, and is also adjacent a newly constructed parking ramp. Egan fully coordinated the plumbing and HVAC prior to installation, and the company's service division played a key role in equipment startup. While Egan was responsible for equipment setting, this building is unique in that the utilities are fully electric -- completely free of natural gas. Two electric water heaters function as boilers, and Egan's sheet metal division installed ductwork to connect 6 RTUs, along with VAVs. Bathroom groups were constructed at Egan's Grand Rapids fabrication facility for faster installation when the modular units arrived onsite.
