Plant 1 Expansion

Expansion of 103,000 square-foot facility for manufacturing aerospace engine parts. Egan's scope included central utilities and redundant equipment for critical purposes. The equipment and systems installed included:

a reverse osmosis water purification system

3 centrifugal water chillers with a total of 1500 tons of capacity

3 HVAC cooling towers with total capacity of 31,5000 btu/hr

2 replacement process cooling towers with a total capacity of 10,000,000 btu/hr

3 high efficiency condensing water boilers with 18,000,000 btu/hr of heating capacity

19 air handling system with a capacity of 391,000 cfm

30 ventilation fans capable of moving up to 503,000 cfm

6 high efficiency humidifiers with a total capacity of 2,490 lb/hr

22 pumps with total capacity of more than 16,000 gpm

more than 3,300 hp of electric motors

more than 12,500 gallons of antifreeze solution

2.5 miles of snowmelt tubing

equipment weighing more than 600,000 lbs

Egan has completed multiple additional projects since the inital expansion, and our in-house team, designated as Johnson Controls Authorized Building Controls Specialists, also provided a BAC system for the project.
