Padnos Exhaust Upgrades

Egan upgraded the exhaust system at GVSU's Padnos Hall of Science during an 8-week summer shut down. Phase 1 of this project included the replacement of individual lab exhaust fans with a massive, 5x1 Strobic Fan. The transitional piece of ductwork was nearly 30 feet wide! To ensure an accurate installation, Egan's CAD department first developed a model from a 3D laser scan. Additional project scope included the installation of Phoenix valves, fume hood upgrades, testing, balancing and certification. Phase 2 will take place in Summer 2024.
